Fifa announced on Friday that the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the exsisting format as a seven-team tournament.
In a statement, the football’s governing body confirmed that the tournament will be held in Japan.
FIFA had hoped to stage the tournament in China with a new structure, which would have included 24 club teams from around the world.
