A fatal traffic accident on the Mazar-e-Sharif-Hairatan highway in Balkh province, Afghanistan, claimed two lives and left three others injured on Sunday, according to a Taliban statement.
The collision involved a “Pasu” passenger vehicle and a “Mazda” truck.
The injured victims were transported to nearby medical facilities and remain under medical care. Authorities attributed the incident to driver negligence.
Road accidents remain a critical concern in Afghanistan, causing hundreds of deaths annually.
