19 people died as a result of continuous heavy rains in northern India over the past 24 hours.
According to the Relief Commissioner's office in the state of Uttar Pradesh, as reported by the Indian news channel NDTV on Monday, among the victims, there were 4 fatalities due to lightning strikes and 2 due to drowning.
It was further mentioned that the remaining cases were reported from various different areas within the northern state.
The relentless rainfall has wreaked havoc on the natural landscape in this Indian state, particularly in its central region, since yesterday.
