On Monday, Egyptian authorities provided aid to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing in North Sinai. The aid included 4 trucks of cooking gas, as well as 156 trucks carrying various humanitarian, food, relief aid, medicines, medical supplies and drinking water.
According to an official source in North Sinai, the fuel and aid trucks were brought into the Gaza Strip in coordination between the Egyptian Red Crescent, its Palestinian counterpart, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).
The Palestinian Red Crescent also announced that since October 21st of last year until February 1st of this year, 9,831 trucks had entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land and Kerem Abu Salem commercial crossings. This is equal to an average of 94.5 trucks per day.
