  14 Passengers Killed in Helicopter Crash  in Mexico after Drug Gang  Leader Arrested

14 passengers were killed in a navy helicopter crash in Mexico, following the arrest of Rafael Caro Quintero, the leader of a drug gang.

A statement issued by the Mexican Navy said Friday evening that another passenger is receiving medical treatment, after the accident that occurred in the northwestern state of Sinaloa.

In addition, an official was seriously injured

The chopper crash occurred, after Quintero was arrested, while the plane was landing in the "Los Mochis" area, and the authorities are conducting an investigation into the causes of the accident.

It is worth noting that the Mexican government and other governments of Central and South American countries are engaged in a fierce struggle against international drug gangs that transport narcotic substances to the US market.
