1 Police officer was killed, and two police officers were injured, Friday, due to a mass shooting in Fargo, North Dakota, the authorities announced.
Police added that two civilians were also injured in the incident.
The suspect died as well during exchanging fires, Fargo Police said in a press release.
The statement highlighted: "A total of five individuals sustained injuries in this incident. The Fargo Police Department can confirm that one of its officers has died as a result of sustained injuries and two remain in critical condition this evening,"
It added: "Two other involved civilians sustained serious injuries, including the suspect who has died as a result of the shooting."
After the incident, Police evacuated residents in the area of the shooting during the investigation, and they confirmed that there is no other threats to the general public.
The authorities in the city are still conducting their investigation, however, they didn't release any further details, including the motive of the shooting.
