Egypt is set to experience a changeable weather after a sizzling hot heatwave. The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts moderately warm to hot weather will prevail in most of the country during Tuesday’s daylight hours.
Extremely hot weather is also expected to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.
Dusty winds will occur occasionally in South Upper Egypt, the Red Sea Governorate, and South Sinai.
Light rainfall is also predicted to prevail in the North Coast and North Lower Egypt, at intermittent period.
There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Gulf of Suez, with wind speeds reaching 40 to 70 km/hr and wave heights ranging from 2.5 to 4 meters.
The Mediterranean Sea will experience a maritime disruption, with wind speeds reaching 40 to 60 km/hr and wave heights ranging from 2 to 3.5 meters.
Moderate weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at nighttime.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 31°C in Cairo, 26°C in Alexandria, 24°C in Marsa Matruh, 34°C in Sohag, 38°C in Qena, and 39°C in Aswan.
