OIC Participates in 38th Session of Islamic Committee of International Crescent

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the 38th session of the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent, held on 26–27 May 2025 in the Republic of Tunisia.

‏The General Secretariat was represented by Dr. Aisha Al-Ayafi, Director of Humanitarian Affairs, who addressed the opening session and took part in the working sessions that focused on humanitarian priorities within the OIC framework. She emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and integration among humanitarian institutions in member states.

‏During the session, the Committee discussed several key topics, including the evaluation of humanitarian responses in member states, the follow-up on relief programs launched over the past year, and the development of a future action plan aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of humanitarian efforts and addressing the challenges posed by crises and disasters.

‏The Committee also underscored the importance of building partnerships with international and regional humanitarian organizations and enhancing cooperation mechanisms between the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent and relevant OIC bodies.
