On Tuesday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport declared its decisions on the final spot of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the US.
The issue was sparked after FIFA excluded Mexico's Leon due to violations of the joint ownership regulations.
The court revealed that a playoff between Club America from Mexico and Los Angeles FC from the United States to determine which team will secure the remaining spot in the Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the summer of 2025 in the United States.
This decision came after the court rejected the appeal of Mexico's Leon and the Costa Rican club Alajuelense who aimed to capture Leon's spot in the global tournament.
