CAIRO, Nov. 18 (SEE)- Al Hadra band for Sufi chorale presented the its first event to celebrate “Mawlid al-Nabi” the anniversary of Prophet Muhamed’s birthday. Surrounded by a spiritual atmosphere and absorbed in another world, the band recited Sufi poetry in praise of the last prophet.

The event took place in the cultural center of Al Rabee, located in Al-Muizz LI-Din Allah Al Fatemy Street, nearby Al- Hussien Mosque. Worth mentioning is that Al- Hussien is the Prophet’s grandson, so the event’s location matched its spiritual ambiance.

The ceremony started with Quran recitation, and then some religious chorales were recited. The chorales were praising the Prophet and his grandsons buried in Egypt, such as Al Hussien, Zeinab, and Al Saida Nafisa, under the name of “We are at Al Hussien’s spot”, “Oh Zeinab, help us,” and “What shall we do Ahmed”. Afterwards, pine love poetry for Ibn Araby and Rabaa Al Adwia were recited.

AL Hadra presented for the first time a new poem for Shehab El Din Al Sahrwdi who was accused of atheism and killed by Saladin, although Al Sahrwdi was a Sufi scholar who wrote poems about hearts fond of God’s love.

The event was concluded by a traditional act, the band along with the audience made an Allah remembrance round that lasted for half an hour.

Al Hadra is a band that consists of 14 chanters. They became famous, thanks to their events at the cultural theaters of the Cairo Opera House and Al Sawy Cultural Wheel. They also celebrated ceremonies touring Egyptian cities, Northern Africa, and Europe.
