The British Foreign Office revealed that Wednesday's sessions in London, involving a Ukrainian delegation and representatives from the United States, France, and Germany, made significant progress toward coordinating a collective position. A representative from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office described the sessions as productive and successful, marking important advancements in agreeing on future steps.

Both sides committed to maintaining their close cooperation and shared goals for continued negotiations in the near future. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustam Umarov confirmed that his delegation had fruitful discussions with US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg in London, reaffirming their strong stance on ceasefire and security guarantees. He stated, "I feel the meeting has been highly effective and successful."

Kellogg also mentioned that he had positive conversations in London with Andriy Yermak, the chief of the President's Office in Ukraine.

However, the planned talks in London were overshadowed by the last-minute cancellation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to Britain, highlighting sharp differences between the United States and its European allies regarding the conflict's resolution.

US Vice President J.D. Vance urged both Russia and Ukraine to adopt the US peace initiative or risk the United States withdrawing from the negotiating process. This proposal calls for freezing current border lines "at a level close to where they are today" and seeks "a long-term diplomatic solution, hopefully leading to lasting peace," Vance stated during his visit to India.
