Egypt strongly condemned storming of blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and a large group of extremist settlers, in a continued pattern of Israeli escalatory practices.
In an official statement issued by Foreign Ministry, Egypt reiterated its warning about the serious repercussions of such provocative actions, which deeply offend the beliefs and sentiments of hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world.
It also cautioned against the grave consequences of these reckless acts for the security and stability of the region.
Moreover, Egypt reaffirmed the urgent need for the international community to confront these serious Israeli violations and to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them, their right to establish an independent state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
