In a significant accolade for Egyptian football, Al Ahly SC has been named the Best Club in the Middle East by Globe Soccer, following the conclusion of the recent voting period. The prestigious recognition comes as Al Ahly stands at the forefront of the rankings for the best club of the year 2023, as awarded by Globe Soccer.

Further cementing the club's outstanding performance, Al Ahly's coach, Marcel Koller, topped the fan polls for the Globe Soccer's World's Best Manager of the year 2023. On the official website of the award, Koller has secured the first position in the manager's category for this year, garnering 26.6% of the fan votes.

Al Ahly triumphed over renowned clubs in the Globe Soccer survey to determine the preeminent club in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr, which followed in second place with 33% of the votes. Al Hilal, another Saudi giant, took third place, while Shabab Al Ahly Dubai from the United Arab Emirates ranked fourth.

Coach Marcel Koller's victory in the Globe Soccer's Best Manager poll placed him above leading figures such as Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, Mikel Arteta, and Xavi. Koller, with 26.6% of the total votes, surpassed Guardiola in second and Ancelotti in third.

Koller's success is attributed to a historic season with Al Ahly, during which he led the team to win five titles: the Egyptian Premier League, the Egypt Cup, two local Super Cup titles, and the African Champions League. Additionally, he guided Al Ahly to a fourth-time bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Globe Soccer launched a substantial two-stage voting process, with the first phase kicking off in November. The voting for the second phase closed on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

The awards also underscore the Egyptian Premier League's rising status and the increasing competitiveness of Middle Eastern clubs in the international arena.

Al Ahly's latest achievements highlight the club's strategic vision and robust management, which have been instrumental in the club's success.
