On Friday, English Premier League side Leicester City officially appointed Ruud Van Nistelrooy as the new head coach of the first football team.
Van Nistelrooy said in the press release: "I am proud and excited. Everyone I’ve spoken to about Leicester City is enthusiastic."
He also praised the quality of the staff, the passion of the fans, and the club's recent history.
On his side, Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha expressed trust in Van Nistelrooy, hailing his "experience, knowledge, and winning mentality", believing that he will make a great impact on the team.
Srivaddhanaprabha added, "We are thrilled about the impact he can have as we begin this new chapter together."
Van Nistelrooy earned the respect and love of English football fans after heading Manchester United temporarily without having any losses.
Van Nistelrooy who led the team temporarily after the sacking of ten Hag helped United to win three games and have a draw. They also defeated Leicester City twice.
