Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, hailed the players of the Egyptian national team for intellectual disabilities, and the participants in the World Games to be held in France from June 4-10.
Egypt is participating in the tournament with 54 players in five games: athletics, swimming, table tennis, equestrian, and karate.
Mohamed Joudeh won the silver medal in the 800m and won the bronze in the 50m backstroke.
Fatima El Sawy won the bronze medal in the 400 m medley.
In athletics, Omar Alaa won the gold medal in the shot put, and the gold medal in the discus throw.
Samia Mohamed won the gold medal in the discus throw. Ritaj Mohammed won the gold medal in the 1500 m and Fatima Zahra Mohammed won the gold medal in the 1500 m.
In table tennis, Marwan Emad won the bronze medal.
