On Wednesday, Spanish media outlets revealed that La Liga giants Real Madrid are entered the race to win the services of Liverpool's star Mohamed Salah.
Spanish media outlets highlighted that the Royal Club plan to sign him during the upcoming summer transfer window on a free transfer.
According to the report by Madrid Barcelona website, Real Madrid consider signing Mohamed Salah on a free transfer if their Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior leaves for the Saudi Pro League next summer.
The report added, "Vinícius has not been performing at his best with Real Madrid. Some within the club believe that the Brazilian star lost his focus after losing the Ballon d'Or to Spain’s and Manchester City’s Rodri, raising doubts about his future."
It continued, "In this scenario, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is already working on finding a potential replacement. It's not easy to find a player capable of playing Vinícius' role in the team's attack, but Real Madrid sees an opportunity in the transfer market. The player is an elite-level experienced forward with an impressive record of achievements, and he fits perfectly into coach Ancelotti's plans."
The report further stated, "The leading candidate to replace Vinícius Júnior is Mohamed Salah, who is approaching the end of his career with Liverpool. His contract with the club expires at the end of this season, and after several seasons in the Premier League, he is ready to take on a new challenge. Signing him would be a significant move for Real Madrid, strengthening their attack with one of the best wingers in the world."
It continued, "If Mohamed Salah ultimately joins the Santiago Bernabéu, Ancelotti will have a powerful attacking line-up. The Egyptian star would occupy the right wing, while Rodrygo could move to the left, his natural position, with Kylian Mbappé as the attacking leader. Real Madrid would form a top-class attacking trio, capable of competing with any European team."
Finally, it concluded, "For now, Mohamed Salah's potential move to Real Madrid depends on what happens with Vinícius. However, if Vinícius eventually moves to Saudi Arabia, Florentino Pérez will not hesitate to bet on the Egyptian star. An intense transfer window is looming at Santiago Bernabéu, and Mohamed Salah could be one of the biggest surprises of the summer."
