Egypt's Al Ahly have received a new offer from Spain to sign one of their young players, following the completion of Hamza Abdelkarim’s loan move to Barcelona.

Hamza Abdelkarim, Al Ahly’s promising young striker, is set to join Barcelona on a free six-month loan, where he will play for the club’s reserve team.

The deal includes an option for Barcelona to sign the player permanently next summer.

In addition to Abdelkarim’s move, media reports have revealed Spanish interest in another Al Ahly talent, midfielder Bilal Attia.

According to Egyptian website FilGoal, Racing Santander, the current leaders of Spain’s second division, have approached Al Ahly to sign the young player during the ongoing winter transfer window.

The report said the Spanish club has sent an official request to Al Ahly, seeking to sign Attia either on loan or on a permanent basis. The Cairo-based club is yet to respond to the offer.

Bilal Attia is an 18-year-old Egyptian midfielder, born on January 1, 2008, and currently part of Al Ahly’s first-team squad.

He has made two appearances for the senior team in the Egyptian League Cup, also known as the “Capital of Egypt Cup.”

The young midfielder previously had a trial period with German club Hannover and has represented Egypt at youth international level, highlighting his growing profile and potential interest from European clubs.
