On Friday, Mohamed Salah officially signed a new two-season contract with Liverpool, extending his stay at Anfield until 2027.

With this new contract, Salah became the fifth on the list of the highest-paid players in Europe.

Liverpool didn't reveal the financial details of Salah's new contract; however, prestigious English outlet The Sun previously reported that Salah signed a “stunning” new deal with Liverpool, with a total value reaching £42 million.

The newspaper added that the new contract grants Mohamed Salah a weekly salary of £400,000—an increase of £50,000 compared to his previous deal.
