Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has reached another milestone in his glittering Premier League career, matching Wayne Rooney’s long-standing record for goal involvements with a single club.
The Liverpool forward opened the scoring for the Reds in their clash against Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday night, part of Matchweek 10 of the 2025–26 Premier League season.
According to global football statistics network Opta, Salah has now been directly involved in 276 Premier League goals for Liverpool, the same total achieved by Rooney for Manchester United.
Salah’s tally includes 188 goals and 88 assists, matching Rooney’s combined figure for United and underlining the Egyptian’s enduring impact at Anfield since joining the club in 2017.
The decisive moment came in the 45th minute, when Salah pounced on a defensive error to slot home from close range, giving Liverpool a 1-0 lead.
The goal came shortly after a strike by French forward Hugo Ekitike was ruled out for offside.
With this feat, Salah further cements his place among the Premier League’s all-time greats, continuing to deliver record-breaking performances as Liverpool chase the title under Jürgen Klopp’s management.
