On Monday, the Saudi media reports revealed that Liverpool's star Mohamed Salah declined the first offer proposed by Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Saudi Asharq Al-Awsat reported that Al-Hilal presented an initial two-year contract offer. Still, Salah declined it, preferring a longer-term contract.
In the same context, English media reports added that Al-Hilal is confident in having the signature of Liverpool's star during the upcoming summer transfer window, following Neymar’s departure.
Al-Hilal recently announced the termination of Neymar’s contract after a year and a half with the club. In an official statement, the club said: "Al-Hilal Football Club and the Brazilian player Neymar Jr. have mutually agreed to terminate the contractual relationship. The club extends its gratitude and appreciation to Neymar for his contributions during his time with Al-Hilal and wishes him success in his future career."
