Egypt's Judo player Yousry Sami achieved a historic achievement during his participation in the European Open, which is currently being held in the Bulgarian city of Sofia, with the participation of more than 400 players from 43 countries.

Yousry qualified for the final after beating the English champions in the semi-finals of the 60kg competition.

Yousri Sami beat the Spanish champions in the round of 32, then another victory over the German champions in the round of 16, before beating the Kazakh champions in the quarter-finals.

Yousry Sami, 19, is one of the most promising players in Egyptian judo, and enjoys great support from the board of directors headed by Marzouk Ali
