Ilkay Gundogan is so close to depart La Liga giants Barcelona, and it seems that he is close to move to English Premier League title holders Manchester City.
This news came after the arrival of Hansi Flick. Flick told Gundogan that he doesn't see him playing a key role in the team.
Barcelona also aim the player's leave to save on his salary ($22 million gross).
According to Spain's Cadena Ser, Gündogan called Pep Guardiola to express his desire to return to Manchester City, his former club before joining Barcelona.
Guardiola's said that he delighted to have him back under his management.
In the same context, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano posted on social media that the Spanish coach has given Manchester City his approval for the Germany's international return.
