Early Wednesday, WWE NXT hosted a special NXT Roadblock event. It is the first special episode since Vengence Day 2023.
A number of important contests were enlisted for the event, especially, since it comes a few weeks before the biggest NXT annual PPV event, Stand and Deliver.
In addition, there was a huge confrontation between Shawn Micheals and Grayson Waller after the latest disputes between them in Grayson Waller Effect.
Therefore, Micheals selected Johnny Gargano to face Waller at Stand and Deliver.

The match card had only one championship title which is for the NXT Women's title.
