German coach Hansi Flick will be Tuesday, today, in Barcelona Spain, to sign his contract as the new head coach of Barcelona first football team, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano posted on X.
Flick will sign his contract on Wednesday, and the deal valid until June 2026.
The club reached a verbal agreement with Flick after a meeting with the German coach and the former Bayern coach in London.
It is expected that Flick will bring two German assistants as part of his staff.
On Friday, FC Barcelona announced that t heir head coach Xavi Hernandez will not continue his job as the head coach of the first football team.
In an official statement by Barcelona: the club said: "The president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, announced this afternoon to Xavi Hernández that he will not continue as coach of the first team in the 2024-25 season."
It added: "FC Barcelona would like to thank Xavi for his work as a coach, which adds to an unparalleled career as a player and captain of the team, and wishes him all the luck in the world.
