Wednesday was saddening day for Football as two teams where involved in critical accidents in El-Behera and El-Giza states. The first accident involved the officials snatching footballer Abdallah Sammy's dead body from the Nile, while the other involved Gazl El-Mahala's team barely surviving a fatal car accident.
Police officials were able to find the dead body of Sammy in the Nile River in El-Saff City, after receiving a notice that he got drowned. The Police however failed to find any evidence related to crime on his body, as the investigations are still ongoing.
On the other hand Ghazl El-Mahala's football team barely survived a fatal car crash after the team's bus, which was heading towards their training camp in Alexandra, collided with a vehicle on the agricultural road.
The security heads and civil protection forces moved to the scene of the accident and inspected the accident, which lead to the conclusion that the incident occurred in front of the entrance of Damanhur agricultural road; witnesses stated that the accident hampered transportation in that area.
