Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his pride in the victory of Egypt's champions in squash, breaking the record recorded in the name of the English team, and crowning the World Squash Championship.

The tournament was held in NewZealand from 11 to 17 December.

Egypt defeated England 2-0 in the final round of the Men's World Championship, and the result of the match was: Mostafa Assal defeated Marwan El-Shorbagy 3-0, and Ali Farag defeated Mohamed El-Shorbagy 3-2.

Egypt participated in the tournament as the defending champion in the last two editions, and the team includes Farag, ranked first in the world, Mustafa Assal, seeded fourth, Mazen Hisham, seeded seventh, and Youssef Soliman, ranked 12.

With this result, Egypt raised its tally to 6 titles in the World Championship, to surpass the Pharaohs record of the English team, which is 5 titles, where the Pharaohs' five titles came, 1999, 2009, 2011, 2017, 2019, and finally 2023.
