Egypt's Olympic Football Team to Face UAE in WAFF U-23 Tournament

Egypt's Olympic football team (U-23) will face UAE in the opening of the Egyptian team campaign in the WAFF U-23 Championship in KSA.

KSA will host the tournament between March 18 and 26, and witness the participation of 8 teams.

The winners of each game will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.

KSA will face Jordan, S. Korea will face Thailand, and Australia will face Iraq.

The participation of the Egyptian Olympic team comes as part of the preparation for the next Olympic Games in Paris.

The Egyptian U-23 football team (the Olympic team), officially, qualified for Paris Olympic Games in 2024 after defeating Guinea 1-0 in the U-23 AFCON semi-final.

In the previous edition, Egypt managed to reach the Olympic Games 2020, after capturing the title of 2019 U-23 AFCON that was hosted in Egypt.
