On Wednesday, the first Egyptian national handball team will face Argentina at 7:00 PM in their 2025 World Men's Handball Championship opener.
Hosted by Croatia, Denmark, and Norway, the championship is taking place from January 14 to February 2.
The Pharaohs are competing in group G that includes Croatia, Argentina, and Bahrain.
Led by their Spanish head coach, Juan Carlos Pastor, the Egyptians aim to capture a victory in the beginning of their world championship campaign.
Egypt’s Ambassador to Croatia, Ayman Tharwat, welcomed the national handball team before the start of their campaign.
During the meeting, the ambassador expressed his full support for the team, praising the players' skills and determination to achieve an honorable result that reflects Egypt's status on the international stage.
He also encouraged them to put in their best efforts to secure positive results in the championship.
