Conclusion of Egyptian Fishing Cup

 Egyptian Fishing Cup with the participation of 15 teams 60 Anglers ended today.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, participated in the awards ceremony. 

Heliopolis team was crowned first place with 230 points, Al-Zohour team achieved second place with 181 points, and Dokki Fishing team won third place with 126 points.

The best Anglers award, Hassan Sabry, Heliopolis Sports Club, won first place, Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Al-Zohour Club, won second place, and Hassan Marzouk, Heliopolis Club, won third place.

Mohamed Amer, CEO El Gouna, said, "This tournament confirms our interest in developing sports tourism, preserving the marine environment and promoting tourism in the Red Sea."

Mohamed Kaddah, President of the Egyptian Fishing Sports Federation, said, "Preserving biodiversity in the Red Sea is a shared responsibility, and organizing such tournaments contributes to highlighting ecotourism in the Red Sea.

Ahmed Mitkis, tournament director, expressed his happiness with the success of the first fishing championship in Egypt with the fishing-release system and fish numbering system, which contributes to preserving the environment.

The tournament witnessed signing of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Fishing Sports Federation, the Environmental Affairs Agency, the Protection and Development of Lakes and Fisheries, and Ethical Anglers with the aim of enhancing sustainability and preserving biodiversity in the marine environment and agreeing on the principles of organizing sports fishing competitions in the Red Sea through the implementation of the standards of "fishing - numbering - and are-launching.
