Brazilian footballer Ronaldo Luís Nazário said he would like Morocco to win FIFA World Cup 2022, affirming that the Atlas Lions delivered a wonderful journey in this tournament.

"I would like Morocco to win, but I think it won't be able to beat France,” Ronaldo said in an interview with Spanish Marca.

The legendary star also hailed Jawad El Yamiq’s performance in the world cup, stressing that Morocco is on fire right now.

Asked about the elimination of Brazil in the quarterfinals in a penalty shootout against Croatia, Ronaldo indicated that the team played very well, but they lacked the experience to know how to keep the 1-0 lead.

"We didn't know how to waste time in extra time after the goal. We needed to be smarter, it's the only thing we needed to get through the tie."

The Brazilian star lauded Kylian Mbappé’s talents, calling him “the best in the World Cup.”

Regarding the possibility of Argentina’s win, Ronaldo revealed that Argentina does not play very well, but they have so much desire and they have Messi who is decisive in the final part.

"I'm going to be honest. I can't say that Argentina will win, it would be lying, being a hypocrite,” he noted.

He concluded that Qatar World Cup 2022 was fantastic and perfect in everything, including stadiums, security, hotels, and transport. “The pity is that it's over.”
