Al Ahly will start their CAF Champions League stage group participation, next Saturday, against Sudan's Al Hilal.
It is expected that the team will resume their training today after the two-day rest, before heading to Sudan tomorrow.
Al Ahly qualified for the stage group after defeating US Monastir in the two rounds by 1-0, and 3-0.
The draw of the CAF Champions League resulted that Al Ahly will be in Group B with South Africa Mamelodi Sundowns, Cameroon Coton Sport, and Sudan Al Hilal.
Al Ahly concluded their participation at the FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday after they were defeated by the Brazilian Flamengo 4-2 in a game for determining third place.
Al Ahly's two goals were scored by Ahmed Abdel Kader.
