Zamalek Reach CAF CL Semis after Defeating ES Tunis 3-2 on Aggregate

Zamalek qualified for the CAF Champions League semi-finals after defeating ES Tunis 3-2 on aggregate on Friday.

The hosts started the game so fiercely as early as after only four minutes when Billel Bensaha converted from a penalty spot, sending the keeper the wrong way.

Utara came close to score the second goal for the hosts, but Abo Gabal made a brilliant save to his ball.

The Whites secured a 3-1 victory over the Tunisian side in the first leg last Friday at Cairo Stadium,in the presence of 30,000 fans.

The winner of this clash will set up another hard-fought semi-final encounter against either TP Mazembe or Raja.

Zamalek qualified for the knockout phase after coming second in their group,while the Tunisian side qualified for the last 8 as Group E winners.

On Friday,February 14, Zamalek managed to thrash the CAF Champions League holder 3-1 to claim their fourth CAF Super Cup title.
