CAIRO, Jan.25 (SEE)- Pyramids temporarily halted El-Zamalek’s string of victories by drawing with the white knights with three goals each in what perhaps was the greatest match of the league this year. The match is one of the postponed matches in the 9th stage of the Egyptian Premier league.

Although Zamalek lost two points, they are still at the top of the league with 43 points, followed by pyramids at 39 points, but Pyramids had 3 more matches than El-Zamalek so it is still up in the air if they could top the league.

The first goal of the match came from a well placed shot outside the box from Fergany Sassy in the 8th minute. Pyramids scored the equalizer in the 18th minute after Ericc Traori deflected a cross into goal. Pyramids gained the lead in the 37th minute after Brazilian striker Keanu placed Abdallah El Said cross into the net.

El-Zamalek shortly equalized in the 42nd minute through a header from Mahmoud Alaa. The White Knights regained the lead of the match in the 67th minute after Sassy returned to score in the 67th minute. Pyramids equalized in the 85th minute through the newly acquired Syrian striker Omar Kherben.
