YouTube announced on Tuesday it was extending a one-week suspend on U.S. President Donald Trump uploading videos or live-streaming to his channel for an additional seven days, accordung to news reportes.Meanwhile, YouTube banned Trump from posting videos a week ago for violating its content policies, saying that a seven-day suspension was the required punishment.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump decried the “shutting down” of debate. “In America we don’t insist on absolute conformity or enforce rigid orthodoxies and punitive speech codes, we just don’t do that,” he said.

Moreover, activists have threatened to organize a boycott of YouTube advertising if it does not ban Trump permanently, as Twitter Inc has done.

On other hand, YouTube’s move comes after Twitter last week permanently banned Trump, citing the potential risk from trump supporters. Trump’s accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and other platforms also have been indefinitely or permanently blocked

On past Wednesday, supporters of Trump stormed a congressional session held to endorse Joe Biden’s victory, as a last-minute desperate attempt by Trump to reverse his election loss led to chaos and accusations of an attempted “coup.”

Officials at the U.S. Capitol building announced the closure, and lawmakers said on Twitter that they were sheltering in their offices, as protesters – some of them carrying Trump flags – were seen walking through the building.
