Youth Min. Honors 13 Sports Figures

Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi honored 13 prominent sports figures on Tuesday.

This came during a ceremony, organized by the ministry to honor ambassadors of sports ethics, within the framework of the "Ethics before Sports" initiative.

The thirteen ambassadors were selected according to a public referendum on the ministry's official website and social media accounts.

Zamalek's former legend Hazem Emam, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, and Al Ahly winger Walid Soliman was chosen as ambassadors of sports ethics in Football.

Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman, Four-time World Champion Nour El Sherbini and 2017 world champion Raneem El Weleily were also honored during the ceremony.

On his part, the Sports Minister said that this initiative comes within a number of initiatives adopted and sponsored by the ministry.

Sobhi noted that the initiative aims at spreading values and principles of morality in Egyptian society.

It also aims at shedding light on the ethical and skillful mathematical models as role models for children and youth.
