You Are More Beautiful Than You Think

Have you ever thought about the fact that how others see you is very different than how you see yourself?

In a unique experiment – it was scientifically proven that you are much more beautiful than you think.

The experiment starts by having a group of women meeting in a waiting area, they all see each other. A little while later they are asked to go into a room one by one.

The room has a curtain that separates it, at one side sits one person from the group and at another side sits a forensic sketch artist with a drafting board (a forensic sketch artist is a person who can draw a facial composite identifying sketch without seeing the person – often used to identify faces of criminals).

Each woman goes in, she takes her position and the artist starts to ask her questions like : tell me about your hair , tell me about your chin ,tell me about your jaw , what is your most prominent feature etc…and each women would answer the questions and he would draw an image of what she shared about her self , once the artist finishes the sketch, he would thank the lady and asks her to leave the room without him seeing her .

Few moments later, another woman would go in the room – the artist would ask her to describe the women who just left the room (which she also had seen the waiting area). Then another sketch for the same woman is drawn by the artist.

By the end of the drawing session – each woman would have two pictures, one which she had described and another one described by someone else.

All pictures are hung up – and all women are invited to the room, the curtain is removed, and they see their two pictures hung beside one another. The results were astonishing:

• All the pictures described by their owners were underestimated – the pictures of the women described through another eye looked much closer to reality.

• All women with no exception were not embracing their natural beauty, they were sharing comments that are full of their perception or what others told them about how they looked.

All the women were asked one vital question after they saw the two pictures: Do you think you are more beautiful than you say? The answer was yes – from 100% of the women who participated in this experiment.

Moral of the story is that women often tend to fix everything they do not like about themselves and they become very conscious about it, they drain themselves with that thought while the should take the time to appreciate what they like about themselves more than what they dislike.

I think Real Beauty Sketches Experiment went beyond being a marketing campaign, it’s a genuine human experience that has proven technically, statistically and by results that: You Are More Beautiful Than You Think.
