Yasmin Raeis to Make Stage Debut in "Ahfad Raya W Skena"

Egyptian actress Yasmin Raeis will star alongside actress Dina El Sherbiny in the play "Ahfad Raya W Skena" (Raya and Skena's Grandchildren).

The play is directed by Sameh Bassiouni and written by Ahmed Shaker and Mustafa Hosni.

"Ahfad Raya W Skena" marks Raeis' stage debut and is set to be staged at the Riyadh season, in Saudi Arabia.

The first edition of Riyadh season kicked off in 2019 and is one of the Saudi Seasons’s launched to transform the country into one of the world’s most important tourist and entertainment destinations that supports Saudi Vision 2030.

This edition is scheduled to run from October 20 to March 2022 under the slogan #Imagine_More.

Riyadh Season will feature about 7,500 activity days, running concurrently, including more than 100 interactive experiences, 350 theater shows, 10 international exhibitions, more than 24 plays, and 76 concerts.

The activities will be held in 14 regions, covering an area of 5.4 million square meters.

Raeis will next appear in the highly-anticipated film “Qamar 14” (Full Moon), which is set to debut on January 12.

It is penned by Mahmoud Zahran and directed by Hadi El Bagoury.

The film takes place on a lunar night where the societal beliefs that kill love are unveiled through five different love stories.

It also features a star-studded cast that includes Ghada Adel, Karim Fahmy, Khaled El Nabawy, Shereen Reda, Arfa Abdel Rassoul, Mohamed Mahran, Ahmed Hatem, Asma Abulyazeid, Ahmed Bedier, Mohamed Goma, Ahmed Malek, Bayoumi Fouad, May El Ghety, Ahmed El Fishawy, and Mohamed Alaa.

The film received its world premiere at the 5th El Gouna Film Festival (GFF), which took place from 14-22 October at El Gouna Resort-town in Red Sea governorate, Egypt.

It was screened on October 18 in the “Out of Competition” section at El Gouna Conference and Culture Centre, the main venue of the festival.
