Crown Jewel will be the WWE’s second pay-per-view from Saudi Arabia in 2018. The last event was dubbed as "The Greatest Royal Rumble" which saw 50 superstars compete in the biggest Royal Rumble the wrestling promotion ever held and was won by Braun Strowman.  Brock Lesnar also retained the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in a steel cage match, and the WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura resulted in a double countout, The Undertaker defeated Rusev in a casket match, and John Cena defeated Triple H in the opening match.
