Moreover, the stars paid tribute to some of the participants at SummerSlam 1992, and UK’s figures. For example, Seth Rollins paid tribute to Elton John’s Cardiff influenced outfit.

Drew McIntye was really praised and appreciated during the event by exhibiting his iconic theme “Broken Dreams.”

The Audience & Atmosphere
There is no doubt that the interaction of the audience was the real hero of the night. Wrestling lovers believe that the maddest crowds in the US are Chicago people, however, Welsh fans are passionate, and hyper as Chicago people.
— Drew McIntyre (@DMcIntyreWWE) September 3, 2022
They showed breathtaking engagement to the WWE Superstars in the entrances as they sang a long with Edge’s “Metalingus,” and Seth Rollins’ “Burn It Down.”

Moreover, they showed huge appreciation for the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre and showed real un-acceptance for the heel, the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
Regarding the customization of the venue, the colors used in the area and promos deeply reflected the history, the identity, and the mythical mood of the island.
Tribute to SummerSlam 1992’s Main Event
The final WWE event in the UK was back in 1992, SummerSlam, and it was headlined by The British Bulldog, and Bret Hart for the Intercontinental title.

So, exhibiting glorious documentary-like videos for the match before the starting of the scheduled mach for the title at Clash at the Castle with the presence of Bret Hart and the British Bulldog’s family was really iconic. In addition, Sheamus vs. Gunther for the title was the second longest contest after the main event.
Sheamus vs. Gunther was pro wrestling at its roots in its purest form.
No pandering to journalists for 5-stars; no doing every move possible for "workrate."

Intercontinental Title Battle
This match meant a lot for Sheamus as he was about to enlist his name among WWE Grand Slam champions, but Gunther successfully retained his title.
— Wrestle Features (@WrestleFeatures) September 4, 2022
The contest between both stars came on the top of the fans’ favorite for the night’s matches.
Before the contest, the second member of NXT UK tag team stars Imperium Giovanni Vinci finally was called up to the main roaster.
— WWE on FOX (@WWEonFOX) September 3, 2022
The reunion and the epic traditional entrance of the stable was ionic as well as the appearance of Sheamus, and his two fellows Ridge Holland and Butch.
The strong, violent match reflected real sense of pro wrestling that the fans really needed to see, especially during the recently-started period of Triple H as a creative head.
Furthermore, the contest succeeded in retaining the glory of the prestigious title.
Disappointing Women’s Contests
There were two women’s contests during the night: 6-women tag team match, and SmackDown Women’s title match.
The 6-women tag team contest was Bayley, Ayo Sky, Dakota Kai against Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Blair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka.
— WWE (@WWE) September 3, 2022
The contest was ok, but, fans expected more spots and a better performance by the six superstars.
On the other hand, the SmackDown Women’s title match between Liv Morgan, and Shayna Beszler. It was really disappointing.
Rollins vs. Riddle Rules the Show
The feud between both stars started before Money in the Bank and a match between both was scheduled in SummerSlam before it was canceled.
They attacked each other in the arena of the event several times, and both fired violent promos in the latest episode of Raw.
From SummerSlam to the Clash at the Castle, the fight between Rollins and Riddle take a higher level, and became more violent.

So, the storytelling in the contest was magnificent, and both delivered an outstanding and excellent performance.
The match was the best in the night.
Edge & Rey Mysterio Shine – Dominik Turns Heel
Legendary WWE superstars Edge and Rey Mysterio were among the most appreciated superstars by the fans. Edge was in very high and positive mood. So, his performance was powerful and enjoyable.
He also paid a tribute to his tag team partner Mysterio by wearing his mask, and performing 619.
The most important thing in the match was the heel turn of Dominik Mysterio and the reaction of Judgement Day.

Unforgettable Main Event, Solo Sikoa Called up, Austin Theory & Tyson Fury’s Appearances
Reigns officially surpassed two years as the WWE Universal Champion, and still, the result of the match was somehow hard to guess.
As the event was in Wales which is the island of McIntyre. The audience did great interaction during the match which enhanced the levels of enjoyment with the match.
Reigns and McIntyre made one of their best matches ever, in addition, there was an excellent storytelling between them, Reigns successfully delivered the feelings of fearing losing, while McIntyre acted the role of the island’s hero.
Once the audience felt that the end of the match was near, a surprising action took place. For example, Theory attempted to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract but he was stopped by boxing legend Tyson Fury.
— WWE (@WWE) September 3, 2022
Moreover, McIntyre’s final pin against Reigns, he was stopped by NXT star Solo Sikoa whose appearance was hugely surprising. Sikoa’s joining the Bloodline meant that he was called up to the main roaster.
