The eyes of the world are on Egypt nowadays, specifically in the charming city of Sharm El-Sheikh, where the World Youth Forum (WYF) is being held for the third consecutive year.

The forum is chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who always listens to young people's views, ideas and opinions, and answers all their questions on all topics and issues.

Since its first inauguration in 2017, the WYF served as a platform for world youth to present their creative ideas that benefit the whole peoples.

Egypt has launched new applications and electronic programs online that aim to facilitate the registration of youth who want to attend the WYF, in addition to the workshops that will be held during the forum as a bridge of communication among the participants all over the world.

2019’s WYF is witnessing huge participation, either at the level of Egyptian officials or world dignitaries, in addition to a big number of young people, reaching 300000, from 196 countries worldwide.

I followed up the opening ceremony of the forum yesterday, in addition to the workshops held on last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including the Mediterranean Youth, Common Roots, Ways of Cooperation among African Youth to promote development, and Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship and Food Security in the world.

All of which are extremely important, especially the closing session, entitled "Empowering Persons with Disabilities towards an Integrated World", which aims to engage and integrate people with special needs into society and qualify them for the labor market.

We are waiting for this year's recommendations, which are scheduled to be issued during the closing session on Wednesday as was the case in the previous three forums.

In the past years, the most important recommendations were outlining an integrated approach to qualify and train young people for entrepreneurship and setting up an Arab African fund to support entrepreneurship in the world.

In a good gesture, I watched the Sudanese child named John, who was a victim of bullying for weeks, expressing his great joy after being honored by President Sisi; in addition to sitting down next to him during the WYF’s opening session.

The artificial intelligence will be one of the most important files on the WYF’s table this year due to its importance and huge opportunities offered by young people, along with the fears associated with its use and its multiple applications.

We will see Sophia, the most advanced human-like robot, among the WYF’s participants this year.

It is worth mentioning that Sharm El-Sheikh, led by its governor Major General Khaled Fouda, is witnessing a huge boom nowadays. We can see that reflected in the beautiful streets and roads that never affected by the massive number of participants in the WYF.

The city has gained high experience in hosting international conferences throughout its history, making it really the city of peace.

Next Thursday, Egypt will see the return of British tourists, expecting that Russian tourists will also come to Egypt at the beginning of the new year.

Egypt will always remain the focus of the attention of the world…Long live Egypt.
