Wildfires Threaten Turkish Coastal Resorts

Several Bushfires burned dangerously out of control on the Turkish southern coast on Friday, according to international media.

The active blazes are threatening several popular Mediterranean coastal resorts, the media reported.

Thousands of firefighters are currently battling wildfires in villages and resorts on Turkey's Mediterranean and Aegean coasts.

Four people have been killed by the wildfires and dozens have been taken to hospital, the authorities reported.

Turkish authorities revealed on early Friday that bringing the fires under control might take time.

Meanwhile, they reported that the police are conducting an investigation to determine if some of the fires were a result of arson.
