President Joe Biden experienced a slightly high fever last night, but the White House doctor said that "his symptoms have improved" after receiving COVID-19 treatment.

Dr. Kevin O'Connor said in a statement that Biden had a temperature of 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit on Thursday evening, and it returned to normal later as he received Tylenol.

O'Connor added that the President still suffers from some symptoms such as "loose" and "occasional non-productive" coughing.

The Physician added: "The President is tolerating treatment well," adding that Biden's symptoms are treated with oral hydration, Tylenol, and an Albuterol inhaler.

He said that there is a possibility for adding low-dose aspirin as an alternative blood thinner as some regular treatments for the President is on hold during his Paxlovid treatment.

O'Connor asserted that Biden's medical case as vaccinated and twice-boosted would make him respond better to treatment.

He highlighted: "There has been nothing in the course of his illness thus far which give me cause to alter that initial expectation.

The US President tested positive for Covid-19 and will isolate at the White House, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement on Thursday.

“He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms. He has begun taking Paxlovid,” she said in a statement.

“Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time,” she added.

The president will attend scheduled meetings at the White House by phone and Zoom.
