Amir Mousavi, director of the center for strategic and international studies in Tehran, and the cultural attaché at the Iranian embassy in Algeria announced that the Iranian regime decided to avenge the blood of Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, after his burial on Tuesday.

“Plans have been set and orders have been issued to the army, the Revolutionary Guards, the navy, land, and air forces, and all of these forces are on standby, waiting for the zero hour to take revenge,” Mousavi said in exclusive statements to Kuwaiti daily newspaper “Al-Qabas”.

Mousavi added, "The list of targets has been identified; it includes locations for key American military figures and leaders.”

“It is the US that initiated such actions by the assassination of Soleimani in Iraq,” he noted, adding that Iran will choose the appropriate deterrence.

It is worth mentioning that, the commander of the Iranian Quds Force will be buried on Tuesday in the city of Kerman, following the completion of the funeral procession.

The body of Soleimani, who was killed on Friday in a US airstrike in Baghdad under the order of President Donald Trump, arrived in Iranian territories, according to state TV.

Soleimani’s body was airlifted from Iraq to the southwestern city of Ahvaz.

He survived several assassination attempts by Western, Israeli and Arab agencies over the past two decades.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared, on Friday, a three-day mourning period after the killing of Soleimani.

Khamenei stressed that “harsh retaliation is waiting” for the US, adding that Soleimani’s killing will double the motivation of the resistance against the United States and Israel.
