WhatsApp is testing seven new features, including status reaction and login approval for Android, iOS, as well as desktop users.
“WhatsApp news of the week: status reactions! 7 features have been announced on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop!,” WABetaInfo tweeted.
WhatsApp is working on a new security feature called login approval, an option to add extra-layer of security to your WhatsApp account.
One of the features aims to manage WhatsApp storage by bringing the old storage usage section from a different entry point.
In addition, the app is rolling out a section to view past group participants for some users that install the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS updates.
Meanwhile, the online messaging platform is rolling out another feature; through which the in-chat event that shows up when someone leaves a group and is only visible to group admins.
The app is also releasing status reactions on WhatsApp beta for Android, a feature that lets people
react to others’ status updates by choosing one of the eight available emojis.
As per the information, WhatsApp is also releasing a tweaked version for the context menu on
WhatsApp beta for Windows by including the spelling action.
An option is being developed to let community members toggle phone number sharing so users will be able to choose who can see their phone number in a certain sub-group of the community.
