Many drama makers are seeking to complete within the studios of Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) the drama productions that are set to participate in the Ramadan 2020 drama marathon, amid the necessary measures taken to stem the spread of Coronavirus.

Approximately 18 TV series has been confirmed to broadcast on Egyptian and Arab satellite channels, in which 11 series have already finished filming all its scenes.

Meanwhile, the remaining are waiting to film some external scenes, in order to enter the montage phase, which does not require staying inside the studios, especially the interior ones.

As for the series, the comedy genre dominates the series that are ready to be shown during the Ramadan 2020 drama season.

However, there will be 3 action genre series for action lovers.

This Ramadan season witnesses the participation of many celebrities including, Nabila Ebeid, Nadia El Gendy, Haifa Wehbe, Dorra Zarrouk, Lekaa Elkhamissi, Ahmed Fahmy, Akram Hosny, Asser Yassin, Nelly Karim, Amir Karara, Yasser Galal, and others.

It is worth mentioning that the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic on March 11 as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 121,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

More cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease Covid-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

The data collected so far showed that at least 552,598 people are infected and about 25,042 people have died.

Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

They can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.
