American TV personality and actress Nicole Richie accidentally lit her hair on fire while blowing out the candles of her 40th birthday cake.
In a video shared on her official Instagram profile, Richie had two locks of her hair on fire before blowing out the candles properly.
Consequently, the actress screamed with fear and one of the people present to stamp out the flames with their hand.

Thankfully, not a lot a lot of damage was done to the hair and she was not hurt as she was comfortable enough to joke about the incident. While sharing the video, she wrote, “Well… so far 40 is lit.”
Needless to say, the video caught the attention of many celebrities on Instagram. First on the list of comments was by singer Joel Madden, Richie's spouse, who joked: “That's hot.”
A shocked Katy Perry said, “Wait, no way. Wait, OMG.” Actress Alyssa Milano wrote, “Are you ok? Instant panic attack.” Vanessa Hudgens said, “Jesus Christ lol.”
Notably, Madden and Richie tied the knot in 2010. They have two children together.
