Egyptian Premier League side, Wadi Degla, have announced the signing of former Esperance Sportive de Tunis right back Ihab Mubarky on a free transfer.

Rebuilding Wadi Degla

Wadi Degla are currently nearing the dead zone as they remain in a very dangerous situation as they sit 14th just one point away from the relegation zone.

In preparation for the upcoming season and to hopefully avoid getting into a similar situation they have decided to strengthen their squad by signing free agent Mubarky on a three-year deal.

Wadi Degla had announced having started negotiations with the player back in July but no updates were made since. Additionally, El Gouna were rumored to also being interested in Mbarki at the start of summer.

Mbarki made his professional debut for Tunisian side CA Bizertin in 2009 before securing a move to France’s Thonon Evian FC three years later.

25 appearances later he returned to his home country so sign for Tunisian powerhouse Esperance. He made 162 appearances across all competitions for the Red and Gold during which he was directly involved in 32 goals (eight goals and 24 assists).
