They will face Belarus' team, who reached the quarter-finals after crushing Czech 3-0 in the last 16 of the tournament in Tunisia.

The Egyptian team, who qualified for the last 16 as Group D winners, delivered an impressive performance at the tournament as they made an ideal start to their adventure by defeating Germany 3-2 on Wednesday, before beating Argentina 3-1 in the second round of the group stage.

Egypt pulled off their third consecutive victory over Japan on Friday as they secured a 3-2 victory to reap two decisive points during the Pharaohs’ adventure in the tournament. The Group D winners claimed their fourth consecutive win over Mexico 3-0 in the last game of the group stage.

They are looking forward to following the footsteps of Egypt’s U-19 handball national team, who wrote the history and claimed the World Championship title for the first time.

Egypt’s squad is as follows:

Head Coach: Hassan Al-Hussary

Players: Abdul Azim Marwan Al- Najjar, Abdul Rahman Al- Husseini, Anas Mohammed, Karim Ibrahim, Iyad Mohammed, Mohammed Al Orabi, Yousef Naseer, Youssef Jaffar, and Ibrahim Raslan.
