Veteran Actor Samir Sabry Passes Away at 86

Veteran Egyptian actor Samir Sabry has shortly passed away at the age of 86.

The late actor was hospitalized with heart disease in mid-February.

Sabry passed away at a hotel in Cairo.

In a statement, a source from the hotel disclosed that the health condition of the acclaimed star was excellent until this morning, leaving everyone in a state of shock.

Sabry was born on December 27, 1936, in Alexandria. He was a singer, actor, and entertainer.

The acclaimed actor graduated from Victoria College. Sabry began his career by presenting the radio show “At your request” in the English language.

In 1959, he made his first appearance on the silver screen alongside famous Radio star Amaal Fahmy in Abdul Halim Hafez’s “Hekayet Hobb” (Love story).

Sabry made his final screen appearance in the 2020 TV series "Valentino".
