Very Hot Weather Predicted to Prevail Egypt on Saturday, Cairo 36C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that the country will continue to witness a rise in the temperature and hot weather, during daylight hours on Saturday.

Very hot weather is foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and Northwestern coasts, while South Sinai, meanwhile the North and South Upper Egypt will see extremely hot conditions.

Furthermore, Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at EMA, warned on Friday of a gradual rise in temperatures nationwide starting Saturday, with the peak forecasted for Monday.

He added that temperatures would rise starting today Saturday, with the sand-laden wind in some regions in the west.

Similar forecasts will be felt on Sunday, with sand-laden winds nationwide and a chance of light rainfall in some areas in southern Upper Egypt.

Monday is set to be the peak of the heatwave, the EMA said, with temperatures in Cairo soaring up to 41 degrees Celsius.

Active winds are expected in the far west of the country, causing blowing sand and dust to occur.

Cold atmospheric conditions are foreseen to prevail pleasant weather from the north of the country to the north of Upper Egypt, which will be moderate in the south of Upper Egypt, at night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 36C in Cairo, 34C in Alexandria, 34C in Marsa Matruh, 38C in Sohag, 38C in Qena, and 38C in Aswan.
